Hi everyone! I am Chirag, and I am running for ICSS President/Vice-President.
In less than a year, ICSS has become my home away from home. Adjusting to a new environment wasn’t easy, but ICSS has given me a family I can rely on. From Sojourn to Major Event, ICSS has gotten me through my rollercoaster of a journey here at Imperial and I am sure many of us can relate.
I hope to contribute back to ICSS by encouraging such meaningful activities through firstly, strengthening group bonding events. This includes Mums & Dads, KILU collaborations or even inter-society, so long as everyone finds their support system that keeps them in check physically and mentally. With my experience organising such events in my prior CCAs, I will ensure they remain as impactful as ever.
Secondly, providing career and networking opportunities. Many of ICSS members, specifically non-scholars, are still exploring career paths. With more career and scholarship talks, I have witnessed my friends finding their way with such events and aim to encourage more of these events..
Thirdly, financial stability. Great events need strong financial backing. With my experience in managing large-scale event budgets, I will ensure sustainable funding to keep ICSS events enjoyable.
EXCO is a big commitment, but I am willing to give back and make time for the things I enjoy, and the people I love. I am looking forward to working with the rest of the EXCO to forge a home sweet home for Singaporeans in London.
