Hi everyone, I'm Marissa and I'm currently a first year molecular bioengineering student :) Bioengineering is all about innovation, and I want to bring that same energy to the society! I love organizing, communicating, and making sure everything runs smoothly—think of me as the glue that keeps the gears turning. From keeping everyone in the loop to making meetings more engaging, I’ll ensure our society is fun, dynamic, and thriving.
What I Will Do as Secretary:
I will supercharge communication by making sure no more boring emails flood your inbox—expect clear, engaging updates that keep you excited about what’s next! I’ll ensure everyone knows about society events, deadlines, and awesome opportunities, so no one ever feels out of the loop. Keeping things organized doesn’t have to be a snooze fest; I’ll take notes that actually make sense while keeping documents and meeting minutes accessible and easy to find—no more digging through endless files.
Beyond organization, I want to boost society fun and engagement by helping to plan workshops, guest lectures, and networking events that people actually want to attend. I’ll encourage collaboration between students, faculty, and industry professionals—because connections matter! Most importantly, I want to make everyone feel included by ensuring all voices are heard and ideas are valued.
