Electrical Engineering: Secretary

EESoc has delivered this year with social events, networking opportunities, and overall making our time studying more pleasant. As secretary, I would make sure this standard is kept and raise the bar for next year.

How will I achieve this?

  • MERCH!!! We need more EESoc merch. I plan on getting merch out as early as possible and making sure your voices are heard. You ask for it, we'll make it happen.
  • More social events. This year had some great, big events, but I think we could all benefit from additional gatherings to get to know our huge cohort.
  • Inter-departmental events. A lot of us have friends in other departments. Why not plan events together?
  • Free food (see picture). We had a good amount of free food at the beginning of the year, but this needs to carry on throughout the year. Who can refuse a free meal?
  • Industry events. Seeing how our studies apply in the industry is crucial, especially for summer and industry placements. Therefore we need companies to come show us why and how they need us!
  • Be heard. EESoc has some great committee members, very welcoming and open. I plan on keeping this the same. At the end of the day, we are here to represent you, so we need to hear you.

Essentially, I want to make your life at Imperial even more enjoyable.
