Adam Ulhaq
Physics: Secretary
My name's Adam and I'm a Third Year Physics student. I only have three things I want to focus on as Secretary in the coming year.
- To make sure the weekly PhySoc Newsletter is sent out regularly and that it is well organised and easy to read, with a summary of contents at the very start so that you can tell at a glance what is going on with the society.
- To make sure that that about 2-3 days before any PhySoc Event or deadline, a reminder is sent to make sure anyone interested does not miss it.
- To make sure that the plans of the PhySoc committee are carried out in a timely manner, that the meetings run smoothly and to a pre-agreed agenda, and helping the president with the organising work of the society.
I want to revamp the Newsletter because I never read it because it's long. If there was a summary at the start then I would have had at least some idea of what was going on. I also get distracted and reminders are quite helpful. I think these are common problems, hence my policy.
But my main motivation to take this role is to support my presidential candidate, Rudy Stretton-Cox. He's got big plans for PhySoc and he'll need competent leadership to carry them out. So if you voted for him, vote for me. If you didn't vote for him, then you were silly. If you haven't voted for President yet, vote for Rudy.
