Students for Global Health: Secretary

Hi everyone! My name is Sharon, and I would love to be the Students for Global Health (SfGH) Secretary next year!

I’m a 4th year Medical Student, and I joined SfGH this year as I am intercalating in BSc Global Health. Learning about the various health issues faced by populations across the globe has been fascinating and I am incredibly passionate about ensuring that healthcare is accessible to all. SfGH has been instrumental in supplementing everything I have been taught on my course, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the various events that I have had the opportunity to attend through this Society. I have established a keen interest in Global and Public Health over my time at Medical School, which has only been solidified through my BSc this year. I am excited to continue nurturing this by getting involved with SfGH next year.

In my previous Committee roles – one of them being Co-Chair of FemTech Society – I have honed my ability to adapt to situations, creatively solve problems, and developed my organisational skills. I am a confident and clear communicator, with a meticulous attention to detail. These competencies will stand me in good stead to manage the responsibilities of being Secretary for this wonderful society next year.

In this role, I hope to contribute to the fantastic work of Students for Global Health.
