Hey everyone! I’m Minho, a first-year ChemEng student from South Korea 🇰🇷, and I’m excited to run for the secretary position! Having lived in the UAE, Germany, and now the UK, I’ve always valued cultural communities, and ABACUS has been one of the highlights of my university experience. The society’s consistent and varied events have given me a much-needed break from Imperial’s academic intensity, and I want to ensure next year’s freshers have an equally fantastic experience.
As secretary, I’ll handle ticketing and administrative tasks with efficiency and diligence to keep our events running smoothly. But beyond that, I have ideas to enhance your ABACUS experience:
- Clearer Communication 📢 – I’ll introduce monthly/fortnightly newsletters so you can easily stay updated on events without having to scroll through 20 bot messages selling Sabrina Carpenter tickets on WhatsApp.
- Streamlined Ticketing 🎟️ – I’ll improve the ticket collection system by proposing a transition to digital tickets, saving time and reducing the hassle of lost or forgotten tickets.
