Since I joined DebateSoc in 2024, I have made new friends and grown incredibly as a person.

- more team slots at better competitions?
I will work closely with the VP to ensure that our spending is optimized, to ensure as many people as possible can be funded to go to competitions that match their skill level and allow them to develop as a debater.
- subsidized socials?
By better managing the cash flow within the society, I will work with the Social Secretary to identify possible subsidies for socials – this incentivizes more people to join and boosts the close-knit feeling that has defined DebateSoc this year.
- a hard worker with great attention to detail?
The job of Treasurer requires organizational and record-keeping skills, which I have always been strong at. Thoroughness governs everything I do. I’ve proven this during Juniors, which ran smoothly because of the attention to detail I paid at every stage of the process.
- an excellent, versatile communicator?
Communicating, within Committee, with other institutions and with Union, is key. I’ve proved I can communicate in a clear, polite, adaptable manner. I can be professional and also friendly. You can count on me to uphold our hard-earned reputation within, and outside, the University community.
