Having served as Social Sec for the club last year, I have gained invaluable organization, leadership, and communication skills that will be instrumental in leading the 1st team next season. My experience in planning events, coordinating with teammates, and fostering team cohesion has given me a deep understanding of the club’s culture and what it takes to build a strong, motivated, and high-performing squad.

This year, I have taken ownership and control in organizing team dinners before socials, ensuring that we strengthen team unity both on and off the court. Through this experience, I have learned how to coordinate, manage people, and foster a positive team environment, which is why I am ready to take my leadership to another level as captain.

I will work closely with the executive committee, to ensure that the standard of netball, within not only the 1s but the rest of the club is not only maintained but continues to grow upwards. Lastly, I want to leave a lasting impact on the 1st team by ensuring a well-structured, competitive, and supportive environment, which will help bridge the gap between club leadership and players, making sure all voices are heard and improvements are continuously made.

Therefore, as I step up to 1st Team Captain, I aim to channel my experiences into ensuring that on-court performance matches the strength of our team off the court—driving us towards a successful and united season.
