Alicia Chan

Hi everyone! My name is Alicia and I’m running for captain of the Women’s 1s next year. Despite only joining ICSM this year, it has been one of the most rewarding and fun experiences thanks to the warm and welcoming community it has. I originally joined because I wanted to play more tennis, but now I attend training and socials for the people as well.

I’d love to give back to the people who make training so fun every week and hope to carry that energy forward! I’ve been in several committees throughout my time at Imperial like ABACUS secretary so I have some experience managing large groups of people and understand the responsibility that comes with it.

My goals are to:

• Be a familiar face that members can approach, to continue facilitating a strong sense of community within the team and the society
• Make structured training sessions that will drive friendly competition to push each other to improve
• Get more involved and encourage members to play matches for increased match-play exposure
• Have fun regardless at every training and social event!
