Hi everyone,

I’m Nari, a first-year Biotechnology student running to be your next Publicity and Marketing Officer! I am committed to overseeing our social media platforms to increase event engagement and to strengthen our society’s reputation.

As your Publicity Officer, I am excited to:

• Work closely with committee members to promote events and share important news through informative + visually appealing posts and weekly newsletters.
• Promote engagement on social media by utilising interactive techniques such as countdowns, polls and Q&As.
• Involve society members to participate in fun and informal content such as ‘a day in my life videos’ and trending TikTok challenges.
• Relay any of your concerns, feedback and suggestions to strengthen communication between society members and the committee.
• Design merchandise for our society. Since many have requested sweaters and bucket hats, I plan to incorporate your preferences for favourite designs, materials, and suitable price ranges.

My past experiences working with multiple organisations have strengthened my creative attributes, including my ability to work with Canva and edit videos. Moreover, having taken on countless leadership roles in a group setting, I am confident about my strong collaborative and communicative skills. Therefore, I believe that I have what it takes to thrive as your new Publicity Officer.
