Rhaedian Maranan

I am Rhaedian Maranan, and I am thrilled to run for Events Officer for our CivEng Society. As a student passionate about both engineering and community, I believe in the power of events to bring us together, enhance our learning experiences, and celebrate the amazing work we’re all doing. As your Events Officer, I aim to create a balance of engaging and enjoyable events that help us grow as individuals and as a society. Here's what I plan to do:

• Educational and Industry-Focused Events

I will continue organisng the events that allow us to engage with the broader civil engineering industry, including guest speaker sessions with industry experts, company visits, and workshops, helping us connect theory with practice and prepare for our future careers.

• Social and Team-Building Events

Building strong connections is just as important as academic success. I will organize regular social, stress relief events- ranging from mixers to puppy therapies- that will allow us to bond while strengthening our CivEng community.

• Collaborations with Other Societies

Civil engineering interacts with many other fields. I will work with other societies to create collaborative events that offer unique learning opportunities (as welll as good fun!) to foster collaboration between different fields of study.

• Feedback and Improvement

I will regularly gather feedback to ensure that the events we host reflect your priorities. I need to hear from YOU to create events that are truly beneficial.
