George Stone

Hello! My name is George, and I am a first year. When I’m not studying, I tend to spend my time painting, running, playing tennis, or most often, baking.

Since joining the university last year, I have really enjoyed the events that ChemSoc has put on, and particularly the opportunities to meet new people! I hope that, if elected, I will be able to contribute to this positive experience for all students this year.

I have been secretary on my hall committee this year, and so I have experience fulfilling this role, and I would like to use the skills I have learned to make ChemSoc events even better this year!

As your secretary, I would:

• Help with the planning and running of events
• Ensure meeting notes are communicated to all members of the committee
• Aim to hold more inter-society events this year
• Get some more merch ready for next year
