Hello again! I am also running for the Webmaster position because I want to improve our digital resources and by making them more useful, engaging, and accessible. My goal is to expand the bioengineering website as a tool to better support students academically, socially, and professionally.
My Key Initiatives are outlined as follows:
- Digitalising & expanding the "Bioengineering Bible" on website: This resource has the potential to be an essential study guide for all students, but it needs to be better structured and more accessible. (I didn't know it existed until late autumn term). I will try to convert it into a well-organized part of the bioengineering society website, making it easier to navigate and ensuring it contains meaningful, regularly updated content to truly support students, and implementing a function for student to share notes and attempt to create a question bank.
- AI applications: I will attempt to push for more AI advise and usage to further help with the course following the department's AI use policy. At the end of the day GPTs are another tool to accelerate progress and students should be more familiar on how to use it.
- Enhancing Career & Academic Support : The website should also highlight upcoming hackathons, projects, and competitions that help students build their bioengineering profiles rather than getting lost in the sea of Outlook emails we recive every day
Vote for me if you believe that strong digital tools and effective communication are also key to an effective society!
