Hi everyone! I'm excited to apply for this executive committee role with the Surgical Society this year. As someone with an interest and passion for surgery and research, I'm committed to enhancing our surgical training opportunities and fostering a vibrant research environment at ICSM. I hope to accomplish:

1) Organisation of high-quality events:

• Continuation of the renowned Trauma conference and other skills days/conference collaborations
• Implementation of regular skills workshops to refine techniques for OSCE and PACES exams

2) Boost research opportunities:

• Collaborate with the Department of Surgery and Cancer to create research mentorship programs
• Organise talks/seminars on translational research and innovation in surgery
• Facilitate connections between students and supervisors

3) Enhance career guidance:

• Arrange speciality days to explore various surgical pathways
• Invite surgeon-scientists to share insights on balancing clinical practice and research
