Surgical Society has been instrumental in inspiring and supporting future surgeons, and as an Executive Committee Member, I want to expand its reach, enhance student engagement, and strengthen opportunities in surgical education, skills training, and research.

With experience in research and clinical audits, including the DATES audit on TIA services, the Pharmacy First audit, and research on hypervigilance and vestibular perception, I understand the importance of early exposure, hands-on learning, and structured mentorship in surgical careers. If elected, I will:

• Enhance accessibility to surgical education by working to expand workshops, lectures, and mentorship programs, ensuring all students—regardless of year or experience—can develop their surgical skills.
• Strengthen research and audit opportunities, helping students secure projects with Imperial’s surgeons and facilitating guidance on publishing and presenting their work.
• Improve collaboration within the society, ensuring our events, competitions, and networking opportunities are cohesive, well-organised, and impactful.
• Support the committee in delivering an exceptional year, assisting in the planning and execution of skills workshops, national conferences, and mentorship schemes.
