Hi fellow Biologists!! I’m Abi, a major cell biology enthusiast :)
I am the perfect candidate for next year’s BioSoc secretary because I am devoted to inspiring enthusiasm and love for Biology within our course body and infecting other Imperial students (who need to touch some grass badly) with the same excitement and wonder about what goes on inside our bodies and in natural ecosystems of all sizes.
Over the last year, I have loved going to events hosted and promoted by this year’s BioSoc committee, especially academic events and talks that I have left feeling so surprised and impressed by. And so, I want to share and replenish this same awe for our subject on a much grander scale as secretary of BioSoc by being your cornerstone of communication and advertisement.
It’s been so enriching to engage with riveting academic talks delivered by researchers as well as spontaneous and very heated debates with my peers, and I want everyone to feel the same way as I do. As secretary, I promise clarity and efficient advertisement of events to make our course body more close-knit and excited about upcoming experiences, be it social and/or academic!
Vote for me as BioSoc sec – I won’t let you down!!
