Hey everyone,

It’s been a while, but for those of you who don’t know me - my name is Jie! I was Industrial Liaison from 2023-2024, and after a year-long break, I’m excited to be running again to (hopefully) reprise my role!

Having done this before, I know exactly how things work, which means I can hit the ground running and start bringing in companies ASAP. My plan? Begin reaching out to companies before summer ends so we can have events lined up from autumn term onwards.

One of the biggest challenges last time was getting sponsorship from companies and this year, I want to revise our sponsorship packages and pitch them to companies (when they come for talks) so we can build lasting partnerships that benefit us all. I also know there’s a growing interest in startups, so I’d love to bring in founders I know for talks, alongside the usual medium-to-large companies.

If you know me (or ask anyone who does), you’ll know that I like to give my all in whatever I do. So, it’d be my absolute pleasure to work my ass off for you all again because let’s be real, we need all the help we can get in this godforsaken job market.
