Hello everyone! I am Arnav, a physics undergraduate running for Vice President Operations. Physics Society has organised several great events from pub crawls to lab tours. As a member of the Physics Society and somebody who’s enjoyed the events, I want to ensure new (and old) members have the same experience.

Physics can often be stressful as the problem sheets keep piling up and deadlines keep approaching. The PhySoc events can relieve this stress and help meet new people who might become lifelong friends! I plan to achieve this by:

• checking with the committee and ensuring every event, be it socials, sports or seminars, is run smoothly
• organising events that cater to all interest, whether that’s lively socials such as pub crawls, or more relaxed events like movie nights. Inclusivity will be key, ensuring everyone feels welcome and engaged
• helping the Social Secretary, Sports Officer, Events Officer and CDIO plan events and overseeing their work
• working closely with other societies such as Philosophy, Film, Quiz, Astro, Gaming, and many more to plan events that are both fun and different
• continuing the annual events such as Boat Party and Christmas Dinner along with smaller events such as sports matches and integration bees
• bringing you even more free pizza and free food!
