Women in SET: Secretary

Hi everyone! 😊

My name is Pariza, and I'm a third-year biochemistry student currently doing an industrial placement. I’d love to be your WSET Secretary and make sure members are always informed via the weekly newsletter, which I will ensure is very engaging, maybe even by adding some secret Easter eggs here and there for fun ;) Clear communication is key to keeping our society running smoothly

Why me?

During my placement so far, I have:
- Participated in volunteer work/outreach
- Been involved in event planning - BHM stall
- Worked with both people within my department and other departments

All of these experiences have helped improve my communication skills, which I believe is important to do effectively to get important messages across clearly. Also having been Art Club’s social media manager during my second year, I saw the importance of clear communication with members of the society, and I would love to be the secretary of WSET in 2025/26 to make sure all of you are always well-informed :)

I’d love the opportunity to contribute to WSET by being secretary and ensuring clear communication both from and within the society, any votes would be greatly appreciated 🤗
