Women in SET: Publicity Officer

Hello ladies!

I am Grace Ong, a second year Biomedical Engineering student, and I am running for publicity officer this year!

I joined WSET in both my first and second year, and I truly appreciate the efforts the committee invested into the society to grant women the diverse range of opportunities in science, engineering and technology (SET) related industries. I am inspired to put my best foot forward to be a part of this empowering society, to encourage more women to pursue opportunities in SET and bring all women of similar interests together!

My past experience as a marketing and communications (MARCOMM) intern for an education group for two years provided me with the practical skills and technical knowledge to maximise publicity for WSET. I wish to leverage my competence in digital marketing, journalism, photography and videography to help promote WSET and convey important messages through these mediums.

I look forward to working with other incredible women who wish to create more opportunities to help empower women in SET!
