Kelly Cheung
Hi everyone, I’m Kelly, and I’m running for AMSA Treasurer!
As your Treasurer, I will:
Keep a close eye on spending, provide clear financial reports each term, and make sure all expenses are properly documented so everything stays transparent and accountable.
Create a solid financial plan to allocate funds effectively across academic and social events, so that he society stays financially healthy while delivering great value to members.
I’ll also be actively seeking out sponsorships and funding opportunities, by using prepared sponsorship proposals to lower costs and make events more affordable and accessible for everyone.
Why me?
I’ve got a strong background in financial management. I’ve served as Treasurer for both my accommodation hall and the Imperial Neurotechnology Society. For context, Imperial Neurotech Society is the first student-led Neurotech society in the UK, founded in 2023. We started from scratch as an incubator society, and through strategic planning and teamwork, I helped secure multiple sponsorships from organisations like ARIA, e184, and Hummingbird, as well as individual sponsorships ranging from £300 to £2,000. This brought in a net sponsorship income of £4,800, which funded events, workshops, and initiatives that directly benefited our members.
If elected, I’ll bring the same dedication, organisation, and passion to AMSA. I’ll make sure the society stays financially strong, well-funded, and able to provide amazing events and opportunities for all its members.
Thank you for your time, and I’d be so grateful for your support!
