Khushi Joshi

Hey everyone! I’m Khushi, and I’m running for BioSoc Vice President. My goal is to help make BioSoc not just a society, but a community where everyone feels connected, supported, and empowered throughout their time at Imperial.

As Vice President, here are a few specific ideas of what I plan to bring to BioSoc:

- I would organize events where we bring in experts from different fields, like biotechnology, environmental science, and healthcare, to talk about how our studies directly apply to real-world careers. Additionally, I would collaborate with the career services to organize mock interviews, CV-building workshops, and panel discussions with alumni in industry to help you make those crucial connections and prepare for your future.

- I’m committed to ensuring that BioSoc members have a space to relax, destress, and access support when needed. I will organize stress-relief events with free snacks, chill-out music, and short mindfulness sessions. I'll also advocate for more partnerships with the university’s mental health services to ensure students have easy access to resources. It’s about making sure no one feels isolated during tough times.

- I’ll plan a range of social events, from casual hangouts and pub quizzes to more themed events or even outdoor activities like group hikes to help us bond outside of class.

If elected, I’m ready to bring fresh ideas, a strong work ethic, and a passion for supporting my fellow students. Together, we can make BioSoc an inclusive, engaging, and supportive space for everyone!
