Aeronautics: Social Executive

As an Aeronautical Engineering student, I know how intense our course can be. Between lectures, labs, and deadlines, it’s easy to forget that university is also about making memories, meeting new people, and having fun. That’s why I’m running for Social Executive—I want to make AeroSoc a society that brings us together beyond the classroom.

Right now, other academic societies regularly organize small but exciting events, while AeroSoc often misses out. I want to change that by introducing regular socials like pub crawls, mini-golf, bowling nights, and subsidized trips to attractions like Winter Wonderland and Thorpe Park. These will be affordable, easy to join, and a great way for us to connect outside of coursework.

I also want to launch Aero Sports Day—a fun competition featuring classic sports where students, staff, and alumni can team up, compete, and enjoy a break from studying. It’s a chance to build friendships, show team spirit, and make AeroSoc feel more like a community.

University life isn’t just about getting a degree—it’s about the experiences along the way. Vote for me, and I’ll make sure AeroSoc is as fun, social, and inclusive as it should be!
