I am excited to be running for the role of fundraising officer in ICSO this year. Having been involved in orchestras at high levels for over 5 years now, I understand the difficulty in funding performances, paying for concert halls, hiring deps and other expenses that cause performance opportunities to become very expensive. As fundraising officer, I aim to help the orchestra maintain its high standard of performances by acquiring external funding such as sponsors. I will also work closely with the treasurer and other committee members to help determine the financial viability of certain ideas. I will use my strong communication and financial skills to help carry out these tasks effectively. But overall, my main goal is to help ICSO prosper as an orchestra and a society as a whole.
