Yichang Sun

Hi everyone! I am Yichang, a second year BMB student. I am running for Vice President because I wish to be actively involved in building a society that is structurally robust, well-connected, and highly impactful.

I am a motivated, meticulous, and proactive individual. If elected, my priorities will be to work closely with and liaise with the Chair and committee members to introduce strategic planning initiatives, promote collaboration and engagement, build stronger industrial and academic connections, push for high-impact, career-oriented events, and establish it as a beneficial and resourceful platform for all our members.

Within the society’s internal structure, I aim to create clear duties and channels of communication within the committee, assisting in organising and delivering diverse and engaging events that cater to student’s needs, such as research panels, practical workshops, and networking opportunities. Externally, I will reach out to professionals, researchers, and organisations to generate internship, mentorship, and speaker opportunities that engage our members, greatly enhancing the society’s value and impact.

With my experience in leadership, organisational planning, and communication, I am committed to strengthening and shaping a cohesive, collaborative, and dynamic society.
