Hi everyone, my name is Arnav Basal. Let me tell you all why you should vote for me.
- I will listen to all members of the society - Ever feel like a teaching session was not engaging enough? Do you want someone that you can go up to and ask about how to actually use Anki? I have been in your position before, and having a friendly face to talk to is very important.
- Teaching - Cardiology is difficult; that's part of the reason why everyone likes it. I am a huge advocate for having lots of teaching sessions, masterclasses, and lectures delivered by your fellow students. Being webmaster will allow me to help organise these sessions and ensure they are easy to access.
- Providing Opportunities - Lots of people (like me) enjoying teaching and giving back to the community, which is what MedEd is all about - I will make sure there are plenty of opportunities for all of you to do the same.
I have also given some MedEd lectures myself! If anyone has watched the first year Neuro, Cardio, and MSK lectures - I'm sure you'll remember my face.
In short, I would be very grateful if you voted for me - since I will strive to provide the direction and support needed to help run this society smoothly. (I also got third best in Phase 1a btw)
