Lucas Emmott

Hello everyone! I am Lucas Emmott and I am running for Acapella treasurer this year!!

You may know me as a Techtonic fresher or just as a friendly face. I have really enjoyed my time in this society so far and I would like to give back as treasurer. Going into second year means I can dedicate plenty of time to this role and all its responsibilities. As equipment manager I have already had experience on a committee and have learnt from what Owen has brought to the role. Next year I will be Treasurer for the Techtonics so this will support my learning as Aca Treasurer. I will be proactive, politely chase people for invoices and manage any claims on eActivities.

I believe I would be a good fit for the role because this year I have improved my time management and communication skills by balancing a busy schedule full of music. I am very committed and enjoy getting to know other Aca members in socials or collaborative events like Pitch in. As Aca Treasurer I will need to communicate with the treasurers in each group and with the Chair about our finances. Regularly checking that everything is in order and immediately following up any potential concerns will be my top priority.
