Women in SET: Felix Correspondent

Hello everyone! I’m Serra, a first-year Biology student, and I am excited to run for Felix Correspondent for Women in SET!

As a copy-editor and writer for the arts section of Felix, I believe that powerful journalism can be very effective in shaping conversations. I want to bring this experience to Women in SET by highlighting the achievements, challenges, and innovations led by women in STEM.

Women in science, engineering, and technology continue to break barriers, yet their contributions often go unnoticed. If elected, I want to ensure their stories are told—whether it’s through interviews with inspiring women in STEM, coverage of groundbreaking research, or discussions on the systemic challenges that still exist.

My goal is to make Women in SET more visible, celebrated, and connected within our university and beyond. Through engaging, thought-provoking articles, I hope to spark important conversations and show the impact of women in these fields.

With my experience in writing, editing, and storytelling, I believe that I can bring insight. I would love the opportunity to help shape the narrative and create a stronger platform for women in SET.

Thank you:))
