Adara Donson

Hi there! I'm Adara (or Addie), a first year BMB student from the UK/China running for Soup Run Secretary :)

Soup-run is such a rewarding society I would love to contribute towards and help grow!

If elected I would:

1. Foster a supportive environment, so more of the homeless are supported + more people choose to volunteer
2. Advocate for the society
3. Streamline volunteering by organising rotas and assigning roles
4. Reach out to more organisations to ask for food donations
5. Train new volunteers up
6. Produce pamphlets to distribute, with information on mental health services, shelters, etc.
7. Arrange socials to encourage team-building and connection

I have experience volunteering at a homeless, food-distribution charity, "Let's Feed Brum", for the last two years back home. The open, encouraging conversations and making people's days a little brighter means I am super passionate about this cause, so I believe I would be an ideal candidate for this role.
