Anirudh Seenivasan
Hello everyone! My name is Anirudh and I’m running for co-president alongside Dharun. Starting with a project on DBS for Parkinson’s Disease, I am now a research collaborator in the 'DATES' audit for NANSIG and a researcher for the Imperial Brain and Spine Initiative. This has allowed me to build an extensive network with neurosurgeons, neurologists and brain researchers. As a MedEd Neuroscience lecturer, I’ve received positive feedback and developed ideas for future lecture series. I have also built a diverse set of skills such as leadership, marketing and speaker coordination through roles in Doctorpreneurs, Acute Care, and Psychiatry society.
We are thrilled to announce our candidacy for Neuroscience Society Co-Presidents. Our initiatives include:
- Networking Fairs: Providing connections between clinical professionals and aspirational members of the society, for opportunities such as mentorship, and research.
- Neurosurgical workshop day: Introducing unique workshops such as a glioblastoma resection VR simulator and ‘Rowena simulator models.’
- Neuroimaging Skills Day: With increasing research on machine learning, it would be great to dive into the nuances of neuroimaging and how AI algorithms will be shaping brain health.
- NeuroResearch Insight Day: This event will explore neuroscience research, with experts sharing insights into high-quality research processes.
We are also committed to ensuring the continued success of Meeting of the Minds and other events. With our passion, creativity and leadership experience, we would be honoured to lead this society, and with your help take it to greater heights.
Thank you for your consideration :)
