Annie Alocious
Hi! I’m Annie, and I would love to be your Co-President. As Conference Chair for NeuroSoc this year and an enthusiastic member for the last three years, I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this society and would be honoured to lead it next year.
I successfully chaired the 10th Annual Meeting of the Minds 2025, attracting 130+ delegates from across the UK, with Nobel Laureate Dr. John O’Keefe as our keynote speaker. Through careful planning and teamwork with the conference committee, we delivered an unforgettable event, teaching me valuable leadership skills and inspiring new ideas for the society’s future.
My experience across multiple societies including Surgical Society, Cardio, and Teddy Bear Hospital has strengthened my organisation and communication skills, essential for running a successful society. As Co-President, I would:
- Introduce early events to welcome Freshers
- Maintain relationships with key contacts to ensure continued support
- Collaborate with London Neuro Societies for networking and socials
- Preserve our unique live brain dissection sessions as our signature
- Support and expand Meeting of the Minds 2026
- Introduce a new Careers Day for sixth-form students to explore neuroscience at university and beyond
I’m excited for another year in NeuroSoc and would be honored to lead as Co-President!
