Hello everyone!

My name is Vishal, a third-year medical student and current Treasurer for Vision and I'm running to be your future president.

As treasurer I have,

• Organised society finances, managed an account of ~£15000
• Helped out in organising conferences, playing a vital part in budgeting
• Was part of the executive committee, making key decisions that dictate the direction and policy of the society

If elected as president I will focus on:

Expanding volunteer recruitment

• Attempt to recruit volunteers from other courses
• Explore recruiting volunteers from other universities

Increasing collaboration with other universities/organisations

• Get more universities and organisations to set up stalls in our conferences
• Set up our own stall in other widening access university societies' conferences

Merch & Publicity

• Organise for merch for committee, subcommittees & regular volunteers (e.g. Dr Me) to promote the ICSM Vision brand
• Be more active on social media (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn) to promote our society's events to ensure greater engagement
• Get more external organisations who work with a similar target audience to promote our events

Sponsorships

• Explore getting more sponsors for our events so that we can spend more to deliver a higher quality conference experience for our attendees.

Invest in equipment

• Explore the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of buying equipment like phlebotomy arms, first aid Annies as renting costs can accumulate over the years
• Buy disposables like Vacutainers and butterfly needles in bulk (lower costs) for a few years
