Gospel choir means the world to me: a family coming together under God in worship, learning, laughter and our shared love for music and singing for God's glory. I recognise the key role that an assistant musical dircetor must play, helping the other MD's by divine inspiration and a driven work ethic to craft showcases that glorify God, and encourage the talent of the other gospel choir members, while keeping each rehearsal filled with joy.
Creativity and musical inclination are gifts from God that I want to develop for Him. I've always loved music, but there is something deep within me that comes out in church walls and worship nights - a fire that worldly performing doesn't quite bring out. And it made me realise that my voice and my intuition is purposed for the glory of the Lord and His people.
I'm determined to utilise and improve my skills, especially in devising harmonies, groups and new musical arrangements. I have ideas to pray over and hopefully help to bring to fruition. And I feel a confidence and assurance in my abilities and Jesus' guidance in me that I feel even more fiercely than before.
Esther 4:14 - It will be hard work, but I must not underestimate the small (or large) miracles that God can bring from my being in this position - that willingness, passion, and even a little impact goes a long way in His kingdom, and there are valuable lessons to be learnt along the way. I'm ready. <3
