Hi my name is Halima and I am running for Academic Foundation Programme Lead!

The Academic Foundation Programme provides such unique opportunities for doctors, benefitting them during their foundation years and beyond, and I want to help others in applying and learning about it. Having researched the process, spoken to those currently undertaking the programme and faculty members, I have kept up to date with the recent changes, and know what I required in order to successfully apply! My aim is to provide a taster session into the programme from AFP applicants themselves to give students an insight into the opportunity, as well as bringing faculty members to explain the Imperial specific requirements. I also want to provide opportunities for others to maximise their chances of getting in, for example creating a bank of resources on carrying out research and presenting opportunities.
