Seo Won Park

Hi, I’m Seo Won (pronounced so-one). I’ve personally benefited from being connected to a mentor through the PsychStart scheme myself, successfully organising a psychiatry placement in my second year. I want to be a part of continuing this unique opportunity so others can also benefit.

Why me?

• Incentive: I am genuinely passionate about it and you tend to work so much harder and consistently for things you wish to continue to pursue. Psychiatry is that for me. I have gained from it already so wish to give back.
• Communication: I have undertaken various roles such as ICSO Vice-Chair, FoMSF Secretary, Sinfonietta Treasurer, ICSMSU Academic Representative, Student Ambassador so I am familiar with working and communicating with various parties, which is a key skill in liaising with the prospective mentors for you.
• Expectations: If there is anything you would particularly like to gain from the experience, I am happy to help make it happen. Also, though the role is quite self-contained, I will also be present to support other members of Psychiatry society, in the general runnings of the committee, should anyone need.
