Rohan Boyapati

Hi, I'm Rohan Boyapati, a Year 3 medical student at Imperial College London. I am running for Cardio Vice Chair because of my passion for cardiology and my commitment to fostering a strong cardiology community within our society.

Cardiology has long fascinated me because it combines clinical skills with groundbreaking research. I have seen firsthand how cardiovascular diseases affect patient outcomes, which fuels my desire to help others better understand this field. I am currently involved in doing cardiovascular focused presentations to various schools, but now i would like to contribute to the Cardiovascular society. As Vice Chair, I aim to create a platform for students to access valuable learning opportunities and deepen their understanding of cardiology’s impact on both patients and the healthcare system.

Plan:

• Assist the Chair in organizing cardiology-related events, including guest lectures, workshops, and clinical skills sessions.
• Foster a more interactive learning environment through case discussions and peer-led sessions.
• Increase visibility for cardiology-related events, ensuring that all students have access to learning opportunities.
