Mayuri Mahesan
Hi, I'm Mayuri, and I'd love to be your BSc Coordinator this upcoming year!
The BSc year is an exciting and unique challenge. While I’ve found it incredibly enjoyable, I know how overwhelming it can be—with new coursework formats, research projects, and independent study. Having benefited so much from our current BSc Coordinator’s support, I understand how invaluable academic guidance can be. That’s why I want to ensure that next year’s students feel confident, supported, and well-prepared throughout their journey.
With four years of tutoring experience, I have developed strong skills in breaking down complex topics and offering academic guidance. I believe these will allow me to create a supportive environment for next year’s students.
To support BSc students, I would like to:
- Continue the RDS buddy scheme – Speaking to older students was a lifesaver on so many occasions, and I want to ensure next year’s cohort has the same support.
- Continue ICA-specific tutorials – Introducing these as early as possible so students can start working towards their submissions with confidence.
- Engage with the cohort via group chats – To regularly check in, gauge where students may need help or advice, and be responsive to any queries.
- Organise a Module 3 tutorial – Connecting students with previous BSc students who have done different types of projects (lab-based, clinical, data analysis, etc.) to help them make informed choices.
I've really enjoyed the Repro BSc and I’m truly passionate about making the year a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone!
