Krishnii Sivakumaran

Hello everyone, I’m Krishnii and I’m excited to apply for the role of Head of Events and Socials as I’m deeply passionate about this specialty and believe in the importance of fostering a supportive and engaging community for students. In this role, I would aim to create events that not only celebrate the specialty, but also bring together students in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.

Having been part of the subcommittee, I’ve gained valuable insight into the society’s workings and how events are organised. I’ve developed experience in managing sponsor relationships, liaising with external partners, and coordinating with team members. This experience has enhanced my organisational skills and taught me how to balance logistical planning with creativity to ensure memorable and impactful events.

Additionally, my role as Head of Sponsorships in Tamil Society has further developed my skills in event coordination, marketing, and sponsorship management. I have organised charity talks, collaborated with sponsors, and ensured events ran smoothly. This experience will help me to liaise with speakers and organisations for events.

I’m enthusiastic about creating engaging, well-organised events for the society, ensuring both fun and professional development opportunities. I would love to organise networking events and seminars, where students can connect with professionals, as well as collaborating with other universities to create larger-scale events. I also want to host fun socials for the members and committee to foster a sense of community. I’m excited about the chance to lead our events and I’d love the opportunity to contribute to this society.
