Aaron Sanjeevan

Hello everyone, my name is Aaron, I’m in third year and I am running for the position of Treasurer in the Paediatrics Society.

As a current member of the Paediatrics Academic Subcommittee, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my role of assisting with the delivery of the successful Meet the Paediatrics event. This involved liaising with various specialists and ensuring the event ran smoothly. I was also fortunate to assist with the Year 5 lecture series, and these experiences have fuelled my eagerness to adopt a higher leadership role within the society.

Having assumed numerous leadership roles in the past, I appreciate the significance of fostering a culture that boasts learning, networking and an extensive range of opportunities for all, including volunteering, research and participation in competitions and other events. These experiences have equipped me with several attributes, notably effective communication, delegation and decisiveness, all of which have been instrumental in the successes of events I’ve previously helped facilitate. Moreover, I am a passionate advocator for teamwork, and I would certainly welcome and assist with the cultivation of ideas shared by my fellow colleagues. In this way, I will strive to ensure that the society is supported with the necessary funding and resources that enables us to continue leaving a lasting impact on our members and the wider community alike.

Above all, I hope to utilise this privileged role to promote Paediatrics Society as a community that is enticing, highly rewarding and undoubtedly enjoyable for all. Thank you for reading my manifesto :)
