Hi, I’m Nandhini, and I would be honoured to be your next Paediatrics Treasurer!

My passion for Paediatrics stems from time spent on the wards as a Playteam volunteer, where I've seen how the smallest moments can bring a smile to a child's face. Their hope and resilience enables them to find joy, and this is something I truly admire.

Through previous subcommittee roles, volunteering at the London Paediatric Conference and attending the ICSM Paediatrics Conference, I have gained invaluable insight into the teamwork and organisational skills required into making these events happen. Additionally, my experience in running a student business in secondary school taught me skills in raising and managing funds, which I can directly apply to this role.

My 3 main goals as Treasurer are to:

• Maintain clear and accessible records of all transactions, ensuring that all income and expenses are meticulously tracked. This transparency and accountability will foster trust between committee and allow everyone to stay well-informed.
• Work alongside the Sponsorship officer to secure new sponsors from medical organisations, institutions and companies that align with the society, to increase our financial resources. This allows us to continue esteemed events and potentially new ones to grow the society even more.
• Assess financial and logistical risks for each event, making well informed decisions to liase with Union and align with their regulations. Maintaining a good rapport with Union will ensure security and reliability to support the societies ambitions plans and initiatives.
