Simran Kainth

For the past year I have attended Playteam at every possible opportunity. I’ve really enjoyed volunteering with Playteam as well as attending the Imperial Paediatrics conference. I’d love to have the opportunity to work with Paediatrics society to fundraise and get sponsorships for the society. I am well equipped to handle the organisational capacity of this role as I have been Teddy Bear Hospital's Equipment Officer for the past year. I have had to coordinate and order volunteers T-shirts as well as keep track of all the equipment. Many hours of my life have been spent in Reynold’s basement doing either Bear Surgery with my fellow equipment officer Akilesh or making a specific itemised list of all the equipment!

I have also researched every single society at Imperial and contacted each and every one which sold shirts to see if we could get a better price for our new T-shirts, as well as designed stickers and merchandise for the society. I have also had experience reaching out to speakers in my role of Transplant and Vascular’s subcommittee which would help to approach potential sponsors. I am interested in planning out fundraising events and collaborating with other societies to bring more attention to the work we do and further improve an already wonderful community.
