Akshaya Muthirulandi

Hello! I’m Akshaya Muthirulandi, and I am excited to be running for the role of Pediatrics Play Coordinator.

You might be wondering—why me? I bring a wealth of experience from my roles in other societies, including as the Webmaster for the Surgical Society and as the Publicity Officer for the Society of Research and Academia. These roles have helped me develop strong time management and organisational skills. Additionally, I have volunteered for a charity that empowers the lives of individuals with disabilities, focusing especially on children. This experience taught me the importance of understanding how to engage with a variety of children and highlighted the vital role that activites such as play team can have in empowering both children and their parents.

As your Play Coordinator, I aim to:

• I will work closely with play team chair and volunteers to ensure easy access to a wide range of toys, making sure that both volunteers and children have what they need to engage fully in play activities.

• I will keep a detailed and up-to-date log of the toys available, ensuring that we have a diverse and adequate selection for the children.

I am dedicated to ensuring that playtime is both enjoyable and beneficial for all the children involved. I would be honored to serve as your Pediatrics Play Coordinator and contribute to creating a positive experience for everyone.
