Hi everyone, Vaishaanth and I are excited to run for Co-Presidents of the Oncology Society and hope to build on its strong foundation by expanding opportunities for students to engage with oncology, both academically and professionally.

Our Experience

Vaishaanth: With two years in the Oncology Society as Sponsorship Officer and Vice President, he has secured key funding for the Surgical Oncology Conference and organized a teaching series for Year 1 and 2 students. As Doctorpreneurs President, he has successfully grown the society’s membership and is leading its inaugural conference this year, understanding the workings of the society.

Prachur: As President of the Indian Society (the largest cultural society), he organized multiple large-scale events with 300+ attendees, demonstrating strong event management and leadership. His experience as a General Executive for the Surgical Society has further developed his ability to run academic events smoothly.

Our Plans
•⁠ ⁠Establish a mentorship scheme connecting students with oncologists for career and research guidance
•⁠ ⁠Expand the Surgical Oncology Teaching Series with more speakers and research opportunities
•⁠ ⁠Secure additional funding to support larger events and new initiatives
•⁠ ⁠Strengthen collaborations with leading clinicians and researchers to bring high-quality talks and workshops
