We’re Yashwin Shyam and Ruhan Anand, and we’re running to be your next Oncology Society Presidents! Cancer care and research are at the forefront of medical advancements, and we want to make sure every student interested in oncology has the tools, opportunities, and support to thrive.

Our Vision

• Make Oncology More Accessible – We’ll organize engaging case discussions, expert-led talks, and hands-on workshops to help everyone—from beginners to aspiring oncologists—understand and explore this field.
• Expand Research and Career Opportunities – We’ll connect students with leading oncology researchers, help facilitate mentorships, and ensure that everyone who wants to get involved in research or clinical experience has a clear path to do so.
• Stronger Clinical Exposure and Networking – We’ll work to provide shadowing experiences, networking events, and collaborations with oncologists, surgeons, and researchers to help you gain real-world insights.
• Build a Supportive and Impactful Community – Oncology isn’t just about science; it’s about people. We want to foster a society where we not only learn together but also raise awareness, support important causes, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of cancer care.
