Jonathan Kow

Hi, I’m Jonathan, and I’m running to be your Treasurer for Oncology Society.

I have various experiences that will help me with the management of the funds of the Society. As the current president of the Society of Research and Academia this year, I have a strong understanding of how to ensure a well-managed budget to help fund events and continue to grow the society. My time as the Vice-President of FoMSF has equipped me with strong managerial and organisational skills that are essential for responsible management of the society’s funds.

As Treasurer, I aim to:

Keep the finances of the society healthy by:

• Ensuring that activities and merchandise are managed responsibly
• Maintaining transparency and accountability for the club’s expenditure

Ensure funds are efficiently allocated for high quality events by:

• Maximise the impact of every dollar spent
• Identify cost-saving opportunities to provide members the best experience possible
• Seek funding from the Union where possible to increase accessibility of events to members

Work closely with the committee for new sponsorships and fundraising opportunities by:

• Develop fundraising plans together with the President, Vice-President and Secretary
• Identify sponsorship opportunities and bringing them up to the committee

As Treasurer, I will be a responsible steward of our financial resources, committed to accountability, efficiency, and innovation. I look forward to working with all of you in continuing the growth of this society in the coming year!
