Amirah Binti Farid

Hi! I'm Amirah. I'm a 1st year and study Medicine. I have really enjoyed going for weekly visits with Teddy Bear Hospital and I would like to get more involved in Teddy Bear Hospital and feel that I have much to offer within the club. Therefore I would like to apply to the role of Equipment Officer.

Why would I be good for the role?

I have good organisational skills and feel that I could arrange and manage the transport of the suitcase and Payal across schools. I would communicate with the other members of committee to ensure that the suitcase and Payal reach the school on time. As the ex-Secretary of my school's Pre-Med Club, I have experience working in a team to organise events such as conferences and school trips.

I would use a fault logging system to check that any toys or teddies that need fixing are repaired to ensure the stations can run smoothly. After each visit, I would check in with each station manager to ensure all the equipment is functional, and if not I will fix it. If there is a maintenance schedule (yearly service) I would make certain this is followed through and completed within the time frame required.

As the Innovation Officers come up with new ideas for stations, I would work with them to source the equipment required.
