Hii I'm Sathana and I'm a 4th year medical student. I would love to be your publicity officer for Ophthalmology society!!

Ophthalmology is an exciting and rapidly evolving field, but it's a speciality often overlooked during medical school, as we don’t get much exposure to it in our curriculum. I’ve always had an interest in ophthalmology, but I didn't know how to get involved or much about the speciality. Having attended ophthalmology conferences, I realised just how fascinating this field is. Learning about the latest advancements and seeing how this has benefitted patients made me even more curious to find out more, and I would like to help other students do the same.

As a publicity officer, I will ensure that all our talks, workshops, and networking opportunities reach as many students as possible. This means consistent and fun social media updates and eye-catching promotional materials. I will ensure our content is interactive by putting polls and Q&As to make sure we can answer your questions and tailor our activities to something you will enjoy.

My ultimate goal is to expand opportunities for students to explore ophthalmology and help them see the possibilities this field has to offer! 👁✨
