Hi guys, I’m Kent and I would be thrilled to be your Secretary for the Investment Society!
Having already served the Investment Society as an Events Subcommittee member, my initiatives will focus on enhancing your experience and welfare within the society.
- More socials: Don’t roll your eyes just yet… When I say “socials”, I mean fun, informal sessions that complement our formal networking events. I don’t want the Investment Society to be just a place to get referrals — I want it to be a place where you can form genuine friendships. Having competed in many finance competitions, I can confidently say that working with a team whose company you actually enjoy makes all the difference.
- QT Capital: That being said, technicals are still important. I want to leverage QT Capital as a platform to sharpen our technical expertise. My dream is to see a team represent QT Capital and win a national competition.
- Merch: I’m not saying I’m a fashionable person or anything but I do appreciate nice clothes! I’m sure many of you wouldn’t mind another quarter-zip in your wardrobe. Get something that isn’t patagonia!
Of course, I will still fulfil my core responsibilities as Secretary—assisting the President in planning the best career events and working with the editorial team to send out timely newsletters. I will make sure your voices are heard by creating more opportunities for feedback.
