Suraubi Rajendra

Hi! I am Suraubi and I am running for the position of Year 5 representative for GP society! I am deeply committed to ensuring that each of us receive the best possible guidance and support as we near the end of medical school when we are considering career pathways for the future. My passion for general practice, along with my experience in leadership and event organisation puts me a step ahead in bringing this society to the forefront whilst promoting the interests of current fifth year medical students.

Three key areas I will focus on:

1. Organising Year 5 Mock PACES to help prepare for clinical exams and ensuring the recruitment of high-quality tutors and past medical students to provide relevant feedback
2. Supporting network and career development by facilitating networking opportunities with GPs and alumni and hosting panel discussions
3. Finally representing the interests of Year 5 students by acting as a direct link between students and GP society to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed

My experience includes:

• Leadership; as founder of first aid society, I have ensured the smooth running of sessions for school students
• My interest in tutoring; both for medical students and outside of university, placing me in a good position to select appropriate speakers and qualified tutors for PACES
