General Practice (ICSM): Year 5 Representative

I’m Nivi, a 4th-year medical student! I’m running for GP Society's Year 5 Representative to support our cohort, enhance educational resources, and ensure we navigate our penultimate year with confidence. Medical school is challenging, but with the right guidance, structured teaching, and peer support, we can make Year 5 more manageable and rewarding.

If elected, I will:

  • Organise Year 5 Mock PACES & High-Yield Revision Sessions – Ensure we have structured peer-led teaching and mocks to prepare for exams effectively.
  • Improve Placement & Exam Support – Provide clear study resources, placement guides and speciality-specific tips to help us make the most of our rotations.
  • Establish a Peer Mentorship System – Create a structured network where students can get guidance on revision, placements and career planning from those who’ve been through it before.
  • Host Career & Speciality Talks – Invite doctors from various specialities to share insights on training pathways, applications and speciality choices.
  • Increase Social & Support Networks – Organise regular meet-ups for students to discuss concerns, share study strategies, and stay motivated together.

As future final-year students, we need a strong foundation to succeed in Year 6 and beyond. I’m here to listen, advocate and take action - so we can thrive together.

If you have any questions, please reach out! My shortcode is np521.
